The Chambers (Sub-sectors) We Serve
FoodBev Manufacturing SETA is made up of the five sub-sectors (Chambers) below. Companies operating within the food and beverage manufacturing sector are grouped according to these five sub-sectors based on their specific processes and functions. Each Chamber is led by a committee of key players within their specific sub-sector.
Processed and Preserved Food
The companies in this subsector prepare and preserve meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables.
Dairy
This sub-sector includes companies that manufacture dairy products, such as milk, cheese, butter, ice cream, yoghurt, and edible ice.
Breakfast Foods
This sub sector produces breakfast foods and baked goods, such as cereal and bread.
Food Preparation Products
The largest sub-sector involves producing ingredients that can create other foods and beverages, such as flour, spices, cocoa, condiments, and pasta.
Beverages
This sub-sector comprises companies that produce spirits, beer, malt, soft drinks and mineral water.
